Four other clubs who could be interested in Gildart as Hull KR lead the chase

It was reported earlier this week that Hull KR were leading the chase for Oliver Gildart by Hull Live.

That said, “a plethora of interest” remains across Super League meaning that over clubs will try to sway him out of his decision to join the Robins and tempt him elsewhere.

So who could these other clubs be?

Leigh Leopards
The club initially touted to sign Gildart, especially if he made the mid-season move. The Leopards have been making big signing after big signing in 2023 and he would add further quality to the Leopards and replace Leeds Rhinos star Nene MacDonald.

Leeds Rhinos
Speaking of MacDonald, he has been playing on the wing for Leeds and looks settled there. With David Fusitu’a out of contract, MacDonald could make the permanent switch to the wing and Gildart would be the ideal centre to come in at Headingley. The Rhinos were interested last year.

Wigan Warriors
A return home is always a possibility in these case. Wigan may have two top centres right now but with Toby King only at the club on loan from Warrington Wolves, there are doubts about his future.

Warrington Wolves
Meanwhile the Wolves themselves could need a centre with Stefan Ratchford in the twilight of his career and Peter Mata’utia off contract. Gildart could be the ideal signing.

All these clubs of course are firmly behind Hull KR at the moment it seems but they will be hoping they are given the opportunity to pounce.
