Former Wigan fullback to make his rugby league comeback

Wigan Warriors Stadium the DW Stadium

Former Wigan fullback Matt Bowen will be making his comeback as rugby league legends come together for the Deadly Choices All Star Invitational game.

Ex-stars from Gold Coast Titans and North Queensland Cowboys will take to the field prior to the Titans’ NRL fixture with Canterbury on Sunday afternoon, with both clubs having a long history with the Deadly Choices.

The Deadly Choices concept helps to provide preventative health messaging and encourages regular health checks among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities throughout Queensland.

And, Bowen will be amongst those running out.

The fullback played 45 games for Wigan in 2014 and 2015, helping to steer the Warriors to back-to-back Grand Finals, but couldn’t help them over line with Wigan falling to St Helens and then Leeds respectively.
