Former Castleford Tigers star locks in new club for 2023

Sheffield Eagles are doing some exciting business ahead of 2023.

They have brought in exciting young Leeds Rhinos youngster Joe Hird prior to bringing in former Castleford Tigers star Quentin Laulu-Togaga’e.

He has now been followed by former Castleford Tigers teammate and former Super League Grand Finalist Jesse Sene-Lefao.

The powerful forward is formerly of the Manly Sea Eagles and Cronulla Sharks prior to joining the Tigers in 2017.

A major signing for the Tigers he helped them finish top and make a first ever Grand Final which sadly for the Tigers ended in defeat.

He would go on to star in the next four seasons for the Tigers as one of the most dangerous forwards in the league taking his time with the Tigers to five seasons culminating in a 2021 Challenge Cup Final appearance against St Helens at Wembley.

He had been linked with a move to Salford Red Devils going into 2022 but in the end he signed for Featherstone Rovers in December of last year.

He helped them to second place in the table and the 1895 Cup Final at the Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium.

They lost and would also go on to miss out on promotion as he struggled with injuries and has now taken on a two-year deal with Sheffield Eagles for next season.
