Five Super League players who will take 2023 by storm

2023 is here and in the weeks to come, Super League will begin to edge closer and closer.

So, here are five Super League players who will take 2023 by storm.

Edwin Ipape – Leigh Leopards
The Championship Player of the Year in 2022, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Ipape won the Man of Steel in 2023. He is a perfect modern hooker, he is massively explosive and elusive. He bounces off tackles and devastates tired defences.

Lewis Dodd – St Helens
At the end of 2021 and at the start of 2022, Lewis Dodd underlined his potential and was soon one of the best halfbacks in the league. Back from injury in 2023, he should be ready to shine and become one of the league’s best players.

Harry Newman – Leeds Rhinos
When fit there is an argument to be made that Harry Newman is the league’s best player. Explosive, quick, dynamic and has great agility. He is both a great attacker and defender and could win the Man of Steel if he stays fit.

Jake Wardle – Wigan Warriors
Once regarded as one of the best centres in Super League, injuries stifled his development. At Wigan, he should be set to kick on especially in an exciting attacking line up at Wigan. He, and Toby King, should really kick on.

George Williams – Warrington Wolves
After a difficult domestic campaign, George Williams showed why he is World Class in the Rugby League World Cup and was even in the mix for the prestigious Golden Boot. He should be back to his best this year.
