Fines worth over six figures and 20-match bans handed to club’s party-goers

The NRL has hit the 13 St George Illawarra party-goers with a total fine of $305,000 and 20-match bans.

Paul Vaughan – who hosted the party – has been slapped hardest with an eight-match suspension and a $50,000 fine. The punishment is so steep because Vaughan has previous for breaching the biosecurity regulations in 2020 and the fact that he withheld key information from the Integrity Unit.

The proposed sanctions for all other players who attended the gathering include one-match suspensions and fines.
