New Zealand Warriors prop Kane Evans is understood to have been offered to Super League clubs, according to the Yorkshire Examiner.
Evans first joined the Warriors from Parramatta on a two-year deal, with the 29-year-old contracted to the Auckland-based club until the end of next season.
The Fijian international will be able to speak with other clubs from November 1, however the Warriors are willing to release Evans prior before his current deal expires and even pay a percentage of his next contract in order to get the forward off their books.
Castleford still have two quota spots left following the departures of Jesse Sene-Lefao, Grant Millington and Peter Mata’utia, with Suaia Matagi expected to sign a new deal.
The Fijian international has earned a reputation for being one of the hardest hitters in the NRL, but has found himself on the periphery of the Warriors.
