Featherstone Rovers have brought Wellington Albert back to the club on a season-long-loan.
Albert played a key role in the Rovers’ run to the Championship Grand Final.
The Papua New Guinea International will be back in time for the pre-season clash against York City Knights on 5th January.
Speaking about the move, Football Manager Steve Gill told the club website: “We have been working closely with Leeds Rhinos with a view to bringing Wellington back to the club for the 2020 season and thankfully Leeds have allowed him to re-join us.
“Wellington gave us real presence last season with his strong carries and off-loads and he became a real fans favourite in his short time he was here.
“Wellington welcomed the opportunity to return to the Rovers, I believe he will give us some extra fire power to an already formidable pack. ”
The match against York will kick off at 3pm and will start the pre-season schedule. That then leads to the season opener against Batley Bulldogs.
