Ex-Super League player hints at transfer after jibe at former club

Last weekend’s Super League action concluded in West Yorkshire.

It was a game many expected to be a relegation four pointer but seemed far from it for one side.

That side was of course the visiting Leigh Leopards who had beaten Hull KR, Super League and World Champions St Helens and Hull FC to start the season and therefore had a six point advantage on their opponents Wakefield Trinity who would remain bottom of the league no matter who won this clash.

Trinity went on to lose 32-0 and it was five games out of nine that the club have failed to score in and in two of the other four they have only scored once.

After this one of their former players, Isaac Shaw, who left the club over the winter to go play in the French Elite One Championship took to Twitter to suggest that Wakefield should bring the duo back as their woes continue.

“32-0 and I’m still getting pay cheques to play in France? Make it make sense. My agents number is attached at the bottom.”

Interestingly the French league is about the conclude and Mark Applegarth has been open about turning to France for reinforcements.

Now Shaw has furthered speculation he could return with a cryptic Tweet:
