Ex-Castleford Tigers man Rangi Chase reveals his favourite Super League player

Rangi Chase will be a Rochdale Hornets player in 2022.

Chase, 35, made the mid-season switch to Hornets during the 2021 season, bringing a wealth of experience to Matt Calland’s side, but extended his deal into 2022.

And, now, following this weekend’s Super League action, Chase has named his favourite Super League player.

Chase, who won the Man of Steel in 2011, tweeted: “Jake Connor. Some love him some don’t. The ones who don’t are fans and players from opposite teams. One of my favourite players to watch.”

Upon signing his deal at Rochdale, Chase said: “I’m over the moon to have signed again.

“Last year was a year we all couldn’t have written. From day one, the club was ‘A’ class since I arrived, Andy Mazey to Steve through to Matt Calland and the rest of the coaching staff and the players.

“Although I only had a handful of games, I feel like it’s my duty to give back to the club who have shown me support. I’m happiest I’ve been in a long time and that will contribute to my performances next year.”

Chase turned out for Rochdale today as the Hornets went down 38-12 to Barrow Raiders in the Challenge Cup fourth round.
