Ex-Castleford Tigers forward Junior Moors confirms club for 2023

Ahead of their semi-final clash next week where they’ll hope to take another step closer to Super League via the million pound game where they’re set to take on rivals Leigh, Featherstone have done a lot of retention.

The likes of Luke Briscoe have been signed on for 2023 no matter what happens over the next three weeks in the battle for promotion.

Today, the Rovers have retained another man for next season as part of their terrific pack announcing that former Castleford Tigers man Junior Moors will stay at the club in 2023.

Signed by the Tigers in 2014 ahead of the 2015 season, Moors helped establish the Tigers as a force in Super League as they reached the Grand Final in 2017 after which Moors was awarded the number 8 shirt.

After a superb spell at the Jungle he joined their near neighbours Featherstone ahead of 2021.

He’s spent two years at the club playing in three finals winning the 1895 Cup Final against York last year, losing the final to Leigh this year and missing out on promotion in 2021 against Toulouse.

He’ll be hoping to right that wrong likely against Leigh this year.

Moors has had a brilliant campaign being named the 2022 Steven Mullaney Player of the Year today prior to confirmation that he’ll be hoping to retain the honour in 2023 hoping to maintain his partnership with Jesse Sene-Lefao which has been effective this year when both players have been fit.
