English winger sought-after by five NRL clubs

Brisbane Broncos winger Herbie Farnworth has become one of the most sought-after young talents in the game, with up to five NRL clubs reportedly vying for his signature.

According to The Courier Mail, it also seems that Rugby Union clubs are interested in the 20-year-old, who is off-contract with the Broncos at the end of the 2020 season.

Farnworth made his NRL debut against Cronulla in 2019 and featured for the Broncos in the opening two rounds of this season.

Born in Burnley, Lancashire, Farnworth was a talented football player in his younger days and was part of the Manchester United youth set-up.

After much deliberation, he decided to focus on his dream of playing rugby league and is now rated as one of the next big things in the NRL.

There is much riding on Farnworth’s next career move as he aims to impress new England head coach Shaun Wane ahead of next year’s World Cup.
