Elstone and executives to take pay cut

Super League Executive Chairman Robert Elstone and other executives have taken pay cuts while the season is suspended.

Rugby League in the UK has been suspended since March 16. The UK is also on lockdown as efforts are being made to slow the spread of the coronavirus.

Elstone has taken a 40-per-cent pay cut, while other executives have taken 30-per-cent cuts. Most other staff have been placed on furlough leave.

Two other non-executive staff will be carrying on full time.

The Super League chairman did say last week that the league had been in consultation with teams, and that nothing was off the table.

No date is currently in place for a return.
