Leigh Leopards may have lost last night to Wigan Warriors, but Adrian Lam still has huge belief in his squad.
It is a squad that is still embedding some real star signings such as Zak Hardaker and Ricky Leutele.
Lam thus believes that if these signings settle that they can make the play-offs.
When asked on Leigh’s YouTube channel about making the play-offs, he said:
“I think if we can get the next quarter of the season in our favour then there’s every opportunity that we’ll be there or there abouts.
“We’re certainly not looking the other way if you’re comparing things. I’ve told them from the start that I’m not talking about relegation, not talking about bottom two or three or anything like that.
“It’s about just being the best version of what we can be. There’s eight new players in the squad from the start of the year, I think we’ve recruited 13 new players so we’ve got to find a way to develop and grow and that takes time.
“We’re only seven weeks into a season where there’s eight new players in that side so moments like tonight aren’t ideal for us but it helps you work out who you are as a group, your DNA and it can only be good.
“That’s the message I’ve said to them, we’ll learn a lot from tonight.”
