Widnes Vikings 26-28 Wigan Warriors

Italy have included Wigan Centre Oliver Gildart in a 54 man train on squad for the Rugby League World Cup which starts Down Under at the end of next month .

Gildart has previously stated that he would play in the tournament for the Azurri if he wasn’t selected by Wayne Bennett for England . The 21 year old can now keep his options open with the squads due to be announced by October 13th .

Also included in the train on squad is Hull forward Mark Minichiello and Huddersfield’s Shannon Wakeman .

Bergamasco has played 89 internationals for the Azurri in the 15 man code , including 3 world cups , and is a now a dual code international having played 4 RL Internationals .

Other names well known to Super League fans are ex Hull KR duo Josh Mantellato and Terry Campese , the star name in the squad is NRL star James Tedesco , who could line up in the blue of Italy if he doesn’t feature in the Australian squad .
