Wigan Warriors vs Castleford Tigers: Kick-off time, TV channel and predicted line-ups

In an exciting fixture to start the sixth round of Super League in 2022, Wigan host Castleford at the DW Stadium as both sides look to get back to winning ways.

Wigan will be hoping to bounce back after a first defeat of the season which – for the second season in a row – came at the hands of Catalans as they were kept scoreless. Matt Peet will be hoping for a response and to avoid the descent Wigan went on after a similar situation last season.

As for Castleford, they’ve only won one game so far this campaign but have looked better in the last two rounds. The test here will be turning the positives seen at the John Smith’s Stadium into a win at the DW.

Kick-off time and TV channel

The game kicks off at 8pm at the DW Stadium.

TV coverage begins on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Arena from 7:30pm tonight.

Predicted line-ups

Wigan Warriors
This week, Wigan’s problems are in the pack. The suspension to Brad Singleton and Kaide Ellis has left Wigan without their two starting props meaning subs Patrick Mago and Liam Byrne will likely have to start. Fortunately, Ethan Havard is back in contention and could add some cover on the bench as could Oliver Partington. Apart from that, most of the team will likely stay the same except for tactical changes made in the wake of the Catalans defeat. Perhaps Harry Smith and Abbas Miski could return?

Castleford Tigers
As with Wigan, team selection isn’t straight forward for Lee Radford this week especially following the loss of Jordan Turner. However, Jake Mamo is back to fill that void whilst fellow back Bureta Faraimo could return as well. I doubt we’ll see him take the place of Greg Eden who has shown up well in the last two games but Faraimo may replace Derrell Olpherts on the other wing leaving Radford with a big call to make. Radford will have some extra size in his side this week with George Griffin back in the squad and potentially providing impact from the bench.
