The news that Luke Gale had received a two-match ban for “contact with the referee” seemed to confuse a few people.
A lot couldn’t remember the incident, but even when they have watched it, the ban has come as a surprise.
It happened in the first-half when Warrington looked like they had scored through Josh Charnley, though Richie Myler was adamant he had held up the Wolves’ winger.
There was pushing and shoving between Gale and Warrington debutant George Williams, and the Leeds halfback had to brush past referee Chris Kendall to do just that.
Undeniably, there was contact – watch and see for yourself.
A two game ban for this from Luke Gale, you’re having a laugh aren’t you @TheRFL?
He brushes past Chris Kendall to have a bit of a laugh with George Williams.
