Warrington/Huddersfield moved

Warrington Wolves and Huddersfield Giants are the latest sides to confirm their Round Six fixture will be moved to accommodate the return of fans.

They follow Leigh Centurions and Wigan Warriors in moving their fixture on the same weekend. As it stands, the government will allow spectators at sporting events again no earlier than the 17th May.

The round takes place over the weekend of the 15th/16th May, with fans potentially being allowed back in the following Monday.

Warrington said in a statement on their website: “The fixture will be played at The Halliwell Jones Stadium and under the current Government roadmap out of lockdown will see 4,000 of our supporters return to the stadium for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic struck.

“The game will kick-off at 7.45pm. Broadcast details for non-members will follow in due course.

“We wish to thank Huddersfield Giants for their co-operation and understanding in rescheduling the fixture.”
