With the relegation dogfight set to come to a head this evening, as well as Salford hosting Hull KR, we thought we’d take a look back at one of Super League’s best survival attempts.
Back in 2017, the Super 8’s system was into it’s third season and was sedt to produce more drama than it ever had before.
After 23 regular season rounds and six Super 8s fixtures, relegation was guaranteed as Hull KR and Salford found themselves in the Million Pound Game.
With less than two minutes left on the clock, KR were leading 18-10 with the Red Devils seemingly destined for the Championship.
