Three clubs who could sign brother of World Cup star that broke English hearts including Super League side

We may be six days into 2023 but there are still plenty of players still looking for a club in 2023.

In fact, there are over 20 players down under still in need for a club for the new season including one man who shares a very famous rugby league name.

Christian Crichton is the older brother of Penrith Panthers star and Samoa Rugby League World Cup star Stepehen who broke England hearts at the Emirates Stadium last year.’

Christian has made nearly 50 NRL appearances and is most comfortable on the wing.

This could make him an ideal signing for a number of clubs over here, but who could move for him:

Leigh Leopards
The Leigh Leopards have lost Blake Ferguson on compassionate grounds and therefore could require a winger to replace him and Crichton would be a smart signing. They have had luck in the past with signing products from the Penrith Panthers having signed Caleb Aekins last year.

Halifax Panthers
The Panthers only have 24 players contracted for 2023 and coach Simon Grix said they were looking for reinforcements and signing someone of Crichton’s quality would be a major signing. Plenty of players like Crichton have taken the plunge to the Championship recently and he could be the next.

Toulouse Olympique
After losing Matty Russell back to Warrington Wolves as well as former Wigan Warriors outside back Chris Hankinson, the French side could do with another outside back in 2023 and Crichton would make for a smart signing.
