Five Super League players have been charged following the first round of fixtures on this double-header weekend of action.
Leeds Rhinos’ Steve Ward and Warrington Wolves’ Daryl Clark have both been charged with Grade B punching after the pair came together in Friday’s clash at Headingley.
Both players were sin-binned during the game by referee James Child and if found guilty, Clark is likely to face a longer ban as he doesn’t have an Early Guilty Plea available unlike Ward.
Wolves’ forward Joe Philbin has also been charged following the game with the Rhinos, he faces a Grade A offence of dangerous contact with no EGP available.
Elsewhere, Catalans centre Krisnan Inu faces a Grade A dangerous contact charge but does have an EGP available, as does Salford’s new signing James Hasson who is charged with a Grade A high tackle.
