Steve McNamara has big praise for “great signing” at Catalans Dragons as he makes bold statement

Steve McNamara has made another major statement signing which is something McNamara seems to do season on season.

Whether it’s Sam Tomkins, James Maloney, Israel Falou, or Mitchell Pearce, the Dragons often are at the forefront of signing top NRL stars.

They already have signed Siosiua Taukeiaho in a major statement signing for the club going into 2023, and now have added Adam Keirghan.

The versatile ex-Sydney Roosters star joins the club in a major signing.

He can play in the halves or at centre both positions Catalans needed to address after Josh Drinkwater headed to Warrington Wolves and allowed Dean Whare and Samisoni Langi to leave.

However, they are excited to have him in the squad for next year and head coach Steve McNamara had big praise for him:

“Adam is a player whose career is taking off and exactly what we need. Tough, uncompromising and talented, he is a great signing.”

Meanwhile, the man himself is excited by the move: “I’m really grateful for the opportunity given to me by Catalans. I’ve always wanted to experience Super League throughout my career and my family and I are really excited to experience it in France. Catalans is a very competitive team in this competition and I am really looking forward to being a part of it. I feel like this opportunity will allow me to take my game to the next level and that is something I’m really looking forward to.”
