London Broncos recently announced the signing of former New Zealand international Dean Whare and now they have added another major signing with both NRL and Super League experience like Whare.
They have signed former Toulouse Olympique halfback and former NRL star Corey Norman who previously played in State of Origin.
The Broncos made the following statement:
“London Broncos are delighted to announce the signing of ex-NRL halfback Corey Norman.
“Corey joins us from French side Lezignan and will look to play his first game with us against Batley Bulldogs at the end of June.”
However, we will have to wait to see Norman in a Broncos shirt.
This is because Norman still has three games left on his huge eight game ban picked up against Warrington Wolves last season.
Fortunately they do have Whare available.
Speaking on the signing of Whare, London Broncos Director of Rugby and Performance Mike Eccles said; “I’m obviously delighted to get Dean over the line.
“We have looked long and hard for an out and out centre which has proved difficult. So to get someone of Dean’s calibre on board is a massive boost for the team. Dean’s undoubted ability will add another dimension to our attack and help solidify our edge defence.
“Dean has also expressed an interest in supporting the development of some of our younger players and will also support the coaching team down at the academy. The overall package of bringing Dean Whare to the club was something we could not miss out on.”
