Trueman future

Jake Trueman’s agent last week spoke out on The Full Eighty Minutes podcast about it being ‘disrespectful’ of the halfback being linked elsewhere. He mentioned five clubs that have apparently been chasing him, but it has since gone quiet as Castleford head into their second week of pre-season. Read more about what was said by his agent here.

Livett on Warrington exit and Marshall sacking

Serious About Rugby League has reported on Harvey Livett’s Warrington exit and what he made of Richard Marshall’s sacking. Livett moved to the Salford Red Devils ahead of the 2021 Super League season after spending 2020 on-loan at Hull KR.

Bateman determined

The Manchester Evening News has done an interview with England international John Bateman where the Wigan Warriors star says he is determined to avenge the bad form of the 2021 Super League season. It was also revealed that him, Zak Hardaker and Liam Farrell will return to pre-season on December 6.

Ex-Wire half handed lifeline

Former Warrington Wolves halfback Tyrone Roberts has been handed a shock lifeline that could see him kickstart his career in first grade rugby league. He had been plying his trade with the Norths Devils in the Queensland Cup, but has been included in a Fox Sports roster. Read more here.

Cas lose halfback

Castleford Tigers have lost highly-rated halfback Adam Rusling to Super League rivals Hull KR, the latter’s website revealed. He played just one game for the Tigers in 2021, and will be thrust into the Robins’ reserves side for 2022. Read more here.

Ex-Cas fullback reveals all

Former Castleford Tigers fullback Quentin Laulu-Togaga’e has revealed on the Talk Your Walk podcast that he would have stayed at the Jungle if it had not been for this reason. QLT played just nine games for the Tigers in 2018. Read more on his exit here.

More Leigh signings on the way?

More signings are expected through the door at the Leigh Centurions after the confirmation of Adrian Lam as head coach, owner Derek Beaumont confirmed on Leigh TV. Serious About Rugby League has revealed just how close Jesse Sene-Lefao came to joining another Super League club, before eventually moving to Featherstone Rovers.

Lam rejected two others

It was confirmed by Adrian Lam, after speaking on Leigh TV, that he turned down two offers to join the Leigh Centurions. He had formerly been Wigan Warriors head coach for three seasons. Read more here.

Sam Moa has returned to Super League to take up a coaching role, that club website has revealed.. The rampaging forward formerly played for Hull FC and Catalans Dragons in the top-flight. Read more here.

Brad Dwyer has posted an update ahead of his new season with the Leeds Rhinos on social media. He is still out of contract at the end of 2022. Read more here.

Thompson future

Kevin Naiqama has found a new club after leaving St Helens at the end of the 2021 season. The Fijian centre had flirted with retirement as the Fiji Times has reported but looks to have signed elsewhere. Read more here.
