Rabbitohs activate Mitchell contract clause for 2021

The South Sydney Rabbitohs have announced that Latrell Mitchell will be playing for the Bunnies in 2021 after the club activated a clause for the second season in his two-year deal with the club.

The Rabbitohs took to social media to announce that Mitchell is ‘locked in’ for 2021.

After a high-profile switch from rivals Sydney Roosters to the Rabbitohs, Mitchell has started the first two rounds of the 2020 season at full-back before the competition was suspended thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic.

At just 22, Mitchell has won two Premierships, made 98 NRL appearances, scored 65 tries and represented both New South Wales and Australia.

The news comes after ARL Commission Chairman Peter V’landys announced that an agreement has been reached with Channel Nine and Fox Sports for the competition to resume on May 28th.
