Warrington Wolves have made some exciting signings for the 2023 Super League season.
They have Catalans Dragons trio Gil Dudson, Sam Kasiano and Josh Drinkwater as well as former Australian internationals Paul Vaughan and Josh McGuire.
McGuire is a Rugby League World Cup winner and is very keen on playing for Warrington in Super League.
But of course as the Wolves battled against relegation at the end of last season finishing 11th above Toulouse Olympique to survive which had McGuire worried about what would happen should they have finished 12th.
McGuire revealed as such in the Warrington Wolves podcast: “You want to be here, you want to experience it, hurting and being the best and bleeding for your mate knowing that they will do the same.
“From the outside looking in, I was up at 3am every morning watching the games in Australia going ‘please don’t get relegated, please don’t get relegated’ sending messages ‘what happens if you get relegated?’
“I want to be here, I want to be a part of it as is everyone who has signed on here now, everyone here wants to do the same thing.”
As many expected, the Wolves fended off relegation and Daryl Powell’s men set themselves up for an exciting 2023 season as he puts together his squad.
