Leigh Centurions’ Krisnan Inu produces interesting future update that goes against rumours

It’s an exciting time for Leigh Centurions.

Though many are throwing criticism at the club tipping them for relegation in 2023 having just secured their return to Super League citing the need to offload players as the reason for this, the Centurions are in an incredibly strong position as they enter 2023.

Yes some overseas players will have to leave to fit the Centurions under the quota but they have reportedly made a number of impressive signings already for next season which should sustain their impressive strength.

Nonetheless, outgoings are inevitable and one overseas player who many expected to leave was former Grand Finalist and Challenge Cup Finalist with Salford Krisnan Inu.

Inu was tipped to retire after playing a crucial role, especially with goal kicking, in Leigh’s promotion.

However, his future is un fact much less clear than that with Inu hinting that there’s more to come as he took to Instagram to reflect on 2022: “2022 brought more than expected, but hard work, friendship and a great family made the journey and results speak for itself.

“My MVP @iamcamilledIc_thank you. Thank you for letting me continue to live my dream and push my body to be strong for yet another season. Thank you for your sacrifices and holding it down for our family when l’m not around. Love you to the moon and back 1000000x over.

“Season 16, done & dusted. Future unknown. But the fire still burns. To be continued.”

From this it sounds like season 17 is on the cards going against what has been expected of Inu for some time. But where this will be remains to be seen.
