Leeds Rhinos’ Kruise Leeming names his favourite Super League away ground

Kruise Leeming has become one of the most improved hookers in the game since making his move to the Leeds Rhinos ahead of the 2020 Super League season.

With a bulkload of appearances under his name for the West Yorkshire club, head coach Richard Agar made the hooker captain ahead of the 2022 campaign after a stellar few seasons.

Always one to lead from the front, Leeming is still only 26 with a fine future ahead of him.

He sat down with the Rugby League Review podcast to discuss everything up to his career so far, including his favourite Super League away ground.

“It’s Wigan,” Leeming told the podcast.

“When I first started playing here they used to play that Sandstorm by Darude.

“It was brilliant and fire came out; it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up – the pressure of playing Wigan at Wigan.

“They don’t normally lose there and I seem to have my best games there.

“Last year I won the man of the match here and years before I’ve scored and we’ve beaten them I think I’ve won more times than I’ve lost so I love that ground.

“The pressure, the hostility – it’s just fantastic.”
