Kenny Bromwich to leave Melbourne Storm and take up ‘another opportunity’

Melbourne Storm forward Kenny Bromwich will leave the club at the end of his current deal.

The 30-year-old forward has been part of Storm’s NRL team since the 2013 season, amassing a career total of 192 matches following his debut year in 2014.

Bromwich played a key role in Storm’s 2017 Grand Final winning exploits against North Queensland and in the 2020 premiership decider against Penrith.

Storm CEO Justin Rodski has revealed that Bromwich will leave to join another NRL club – though who it is has not yet been announced.

“Kenny has been a fantastic contributor to Storm on and off the field,” Rodski said.

“While we would have loved to have Kenny stay on with Storm for 2023 and beyond, unfortunately, that won’t be happening but we still have this year to enjoy watching him on that left edge that he has made his home.

“When the time comes at the end of the year, we will give Kenny and his family a proper farewell and say our thanks for all he has done with the club.”

It has been widely rumoured that Bromwich will land at the Dolphins alongside his brother Jesse.
