Hull KR forward Luis Johnson suffers major injury blow

Hull KR forward Luis Johnson has been given some bad news regarding his foot injury.

The former Castleford Tigers and Warrington Wolves man will have to undergo surgery on a foot injury, ruling him out of action for the next three months.

It’s a bitter blow for the Yorkshireman who enjoyed a stellar season during 2021 as Hull KR made it all the way to the semi-final play-offs.

The 22-year-old limped out of last week’s game against Huddersfield Giants after slipping whilst backing up a break by halfback Jordan Abdull.

It was initially believed that Johnson would only require a period of rest – of about six weeks – for his broken foot, but he will now head for surgery instead.
