Hull FC boss Brett Hodgson delivers news on Carlos Tuimavave, Kane Evans and Josh Reynolds

All three have had their injury problems in 2022, but Hull FC trio Carlos Tuimavave, Kane Evans and Josh Reynolds are expected to be back in contention for the Black and Whites ahead of their Challenge Cup Quarter-Final clash at Huddersfield Giants on Saturday.

Tuimavave and Evans missed out in the narrow loss to Wigan Warriors last week due to calf issues, but head coach Brett Hodgson is hoping that the duo – along with Reynolds – will be included.

“I think everyone is in contention this week that played last week,” Hodgson told Hull Live.

“Carlos will be back in the squad, we just need to do a couple more things with him, so he’ll be back available we hope.

“Kane Evans will be back in the squad and Josh Reynolds will be back in the squad.

We get a few numbers back and there’ll be a couple of headaches and disappointed players but as much as it is difficult to have those conversations, we’re in a position that we want our best team on the field.”

FC haven’t won the Challenge Cup since 2017 after winning it back-to-back under former boss Lee Radford, but face a formidable Huddersfield side that have won six of their opening eight league and cup games in 2022.
