Ahead of the Challenge Cup semi-final clash against Leeds Rhinos, Hull FC’s Danny Houghton has said that the players have been talking about last year’s triumph at Wembley.
Houghton put in a monumental effort to deny Ben Currie in the dying embers of the final last year, now labelled as ‘tackle 52’.
The hooker is in his testimonial year at the club and he will be eager to make another appearance at the national stadium as Lee Radford’s men battle to retain their title.
“The experience of the Cup is something that we as a squad will never forget and it’s something we’ve spoken about in the lead up to this game,” Houghton told the Hull FC website.
“Leeds are a champion team and we know that we’re going to have to be at the very top of our game to beat them.
“As long as we can look after ourselves and get ourselves in order, then I’m sure we’ll be all right.”
