Wigan Warriors forward Joe Greenwood has said he would be open to a return to Leeds Rhinos, after his loan was cut short.
The second-rower signed a two-month loan deal with the Rhinos, but it had to be cut short because of the coronavirus pandemic.
He said: “I really enjoyed my time up there. I would have liked to have got a couple of games there, obviously then the pandemic hit, and that virus came along. It was tough, I was up there for 10 days before it happened.
“We were getting ready to go over to Catalans at the time, and I was supposed to be playing. Then they had to pull the plug on that. Then the virus kicked in.
“I was a bit gutted I couldn’t step out onto the field for them.”
When asked if he would like to return to the Rhinos and get a game for them, the England international said he would be more than happy to if the chance came along.
He added: “I feel like Leeds gave me an opportunity for game time, but obviously I didn’t end up playing, which was strange.
“So I was up there for two months just training at the time, in and out.
“They gave me the opportunity, so I would be more than happy to be up there playing again, if I ever got the chance.”
