Former NRL star makes bizarre move to join I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here

You probably think it’s April 1 with a title like that, but it’s 100% correct.

An NRL star will be heading into the I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Out of Here Australia version as the reality TV show gets ready to welcome its new campmates.

Among those joining the Channel Ten show will be Beau Ryan, according to Who.

Ryan made 104 appearances for the Wests Tigers between 2004 and 2012, scoring 46 tries before making the move to the Cronulla Sharks in 2012.

There he registered another 22 NRL appearances, scoring seven tries, but was forced to retire midway through the 2014 season due to a severe neck injury.

Since then, Ryan released his own music single in September of that year alongside the Justice Crew and has even advertised contracts for several clothing lines.

To add even more impressive accolades to his CV, Ryan starred NRL/AFL cross code movie called Chasing Comets which was written and produced by fellow ex-NRL player Jason Stevens.

That film was released in Australian and New Zealand cinemas in 2018 and premiered on Network Ten in 2019.

He has also co-hosted a breakfast radio show as well as hosting Network 10’s revival of The Amazing Race Australia.

Quite a world away from rugby league!
