Former Hull FC star joins shock new club

Former Hull FC star Kane Evans has joined a surprise new club ahead of the new season.

Evans joined Hull FC ahead of the 2022 season as Tony Smith’s era in charge at the MKM Stadium began but the high profile former NRL forward left the club mid-way through last season.

Hull FC have seen an awful lot of change in the middle third of the field with a lot of players coming and going in the pack but there is an argument to be made that the current pack is stronger than ever.

After the departure of Chris Satae you could have argued he was irreplaceable but that hasn’t been the case. The Black and Whites have signed Franklin Pele, Jack Ashworth and of course the nephew of Leeds Rhinos legend Ali Lauiti’iti Herman Ese’ese.

Black and Whites set to get stronger

Many have been critical of the Black and Whites in the opening stages of the Super League season but they have shown an increased character week on week.

After a difficult defeat to stomach against Hull KR, Hull FC showed great commitment a week later against Warrington Wolves when harshly reduced to 12 men.

Then they played until the death against London Broncos to get a first win but their most encouraging performance came as they pushed Catalans Dragons away from home.

When they start to get players back they should climb the table.
