Hull FC sell stunning number of tickets

Hull FC have had a rough start to the 2024 Super League season. Even their win against the London Broncos was highly scrutinised by their fans and others.

However, that did not deter their fans from making the longest journey to an away game there is in our sport at the moment.

According to Sky Sports, over 500 fans made the trip over to France for the game against Catalans Dragons that many believed they would be easily beaten by the French side but it was anything but.

The Black and Whites may not have repaid their fans with a win but they certainly did with an encouraging display on the field.

Things are looking up for Hull FC again and their fans seem to think so too. They need some bodies back which will hopefully come after blows to Jack Walker and Matty Russell this week.

The likes of Liam Tindall, Liam Sutcliffe and Jake Trueman are all getting closer week on week. However, Trueman is certainly a long way off returning after a nasty injury at the end of last year.

Hull FC boss reveals travel arrangements

It was of course difficult for fans to make the journey and before the game, speaking to the club’s official website, Tony Smith explained the club’s interesting travel arrangements for the game.

He said: “Any way you travel can’t guarantee anything. If you go out on the day, anybody who has done it, you go out in the morning, and you leave very early to get there in a reasonable time and to get settled. It’s a big ask. It’s exhausting to get back late and then recover; it knocks you down for a good few days. It knocks the players out of their routines and affects recovery times.

“Travelling over the night before means you don’t have to rush through anything. It’s a hard venue to go to and a hard place to play, but this just makes it easier. We can get over there and acclimatise a bit rather than arriving mid-morning and trying to get adjusted. I think this is definitely the preferred way.”
