Ex-Leeds Rhinos and St Helens man Kyle Eastmond makes career switch

Kyle Eastmond retired from rugby league back in May of this year after playing just two games for the Leeds Rhinos following a shock return to the sport.

Eastmond, who retired aged just 31, began his league career with St Helens in 2007 and enjoyed a successful number of years with the Red Vee before switching codes to join Bath in October 2011.

However, he made just two appearances for Leeds before deciding to retire.

Eastmond retired after revealing he no longer had the passion to fulfil on the field, and he now has a career in property, having bought his first house when he was at St Helens, according to the Daily Mail.

“I’ve come to realise the passion to influence the game is no longer on the field,” Eastmond revealed upon his retirement decision to the Daily Mail.

“It is this love and respect for the game that leads me to this decision.

“I would like to say thank you so much to Kevin Sinfield, Leeds Rhinos and all the fans and wish the team all the best for the rest of the season.”

The diminutive playmaker earned four caps for England in rugby league and six for the national side in the 15-man code, but he already has a plethora of houses under his name.
