Clubb and Watts both escape bans

Tony Clubb and Liam Watts have both avoided bans following last weekend’s opening round of play-off fixtures.

Castleford forward Watts has been charged with a Grade A Trip against Warrington but has avoided any sort of ban or fine.

Meanwhile, Wigan prop Clubb hasn’t been charged at all for his late challenge on Jackson Hastings during the halfback’s try on Friday night.

Salford had suggested that the match review panel may want to review the incident, as well as another one which left Hastings with an eye injury, however they found he will not face any charges.

Salford’s Logan Tomkins also received a caution for a trip during the game.

Following the latest round of Super League, Championship, League 1 and Academy fixtures, the Match Review Panel have issued the following sanctions:

Liam Watts (Castleford) – Grade A Trip – 0 Match Penalty Notice

The following player was issued with a caution:

Logan Tomkins – Trip
