Channel 4 to show unseen footage of Super League Grand Final this weekend

After exceptional coverage of 10 Super League matches this year, Channel 4 will end its broadcasting of the 2022 Super League season this Saturday.

Starting at 1:05pm, the channel will air an hour-long special covering the Betfred Super League Grand Final that saw St Helens win their fourth consecutive title.

The Saints beat Leeds Rhinos 24-12 at Old Trafford, in a game that had many talking points even before a ball was kicked. Most notably, however, it was the last game in charge of St Helens for head coach Kristian Woolf before he leaves for the NRL.

Channel 4 will broadcast unseen, behind-the-scenes footage of last Saturday night’s spectacle with Adam Hills presenting the show alongside Danika Priim. Mark Wilson and Kyle Amor will be in the commentary box as they have been all season.

The show will also have extended highlights of Saints’ victory, as well as their own buildup and post-match coverage of the game with both current and ex-Super League players on hand to give excellent insight and analysis.

Channel 4 have been spectacular in promoting rugby league to a new audience this year with exclusive features on players like newly crowned Man of Steel Brodie Croft, Leeds’ Blake Austin, Castleford’s Joe Westerman and to even hosting the draw for the Physical Disability Rugby League World Cup live on ‘The Last Leg’.
