Channel 4 confirm their first five Super League games of 2023 as St Helens dominate and Leeds Rhinos set for big game

Channel 4 will again show 10 free-to-air Super League fixtures in 2023 as they did in 2022 to much acclaim.

Last season, their coverage started with a blockbuster opening weekend clash between Leeds Rhinos and Warrington Wolves at 12:30.

This year those two meet again in the Super League opener but this time on Sky Sports with Channel 4’s first game also in Round One on the Saturday as Hull KR host Wigan Warriors in a repeat of their Round One clash from last year.

The game will kick off at 1pm.

In their second game, Channel 4 will show the Champions’ opening fixture with St Helens set to sit out week one due to potential World Club Challenge commitments.

They’re at Castleford Tigers on Sunday 26th February.

Channel 4 have confirmed their next three games up to Round 12. These include Leeds Rhinos vs Catalans Dragons at Headingley in Round Six as the Dragons look to avenge their defeat to Leeds in the play-offs last season.

Then in Round Seven Tony Smith’s Hull FC take on former team Warrington Wolves away.

Finally in Round 12, it’s a repeat of one of the Super League semi-finals from 2022 as St Helens meet Salford Red Devils.

Here are their first five fixtures:

Hull KR v Wigan Warriors (Round 1, 18 February, 1pm)
Castleford Tigers v St Helens (Round 2, Sunday 26 February)
Leeds Rhinos v Catalans Dragons (Round 6, Saturday 25 March)
Warrington Wolves v Hull FC (Round 7, Saturday 1 April)
St Helens v Salford Red Devils (Round 12, Saturday 13 May).
