Catalans Dragons rocked by huge injuries to two England hopefuls following Castleford Tigers defeat.

Catalans Dragons have been rocked by two huge injuries to their star men in the wake of the defeat to Castleford Tigers at the weekend.

Mike McMeeken and Tom Davies underwent scans to determine the extent of their injury after the game against Castleford on Sunday.

Mike McMeeken left the field at half time after fracturing his right thumb. He will have surgery on Wednesday to repair the injury and is expected to be sidelined for 6-8 weeks

During the same game, Tom Davies suffered an injury to his right knee and an MRI confirmed he has damaged his meniscus and medial ligament. He will see a specialist to assess the injury this week.
