Castleford Tigers take on Wakefield Trinity in a highly anticipated West Yorkshire derby this Friday night at the Jungle.

Castleford enjoyed an incredible 46-18 thrashing of Hull FC last Friday night but they are now down to the bare bones in terms of manpower.

Meanwhile, Wakefield endured a tough 13-12 defeat to reigning champions St Helens, though they will have taken a lot from that loss.

Injury news

Castleford will be without Gareth O’Brien and Alex Mellor after the duo sustained head knocks in the win over Hull FC. Jake Mamo, however, has had his one-match ban overturned following an appeal, with signing from Whitehaven, Kieran Hudson, potentially in line to make his Castleford debut. The likes of Nathan Massey, Jake Trueman and Ryan Hampshire are out for the season. Meanwhile, Wakefield will be without Jorge Taufua after he suffered an arm injury in the loss to Saints. There will also be a late fitness test on Lee Gaskell, but Kelepi Tanginoa is banned.

The game will kick off at 8pm on Friday night at the Jungle.

The game will be broadcast live from 7.30pm on Sky Sports Arena. Highlights will also be found on the Super League Show as well as Super League’s YouTube Channel.
