Castleford Tigers announce 2022 squad numbers with new signings taking first-team shirts

Castleford Tigers have been announcing their squad numbers for 2022 on their live website blog, with numbers 1-5 already being divulged.

The West Yorkshire club are in a highly-anticipated new era following eight-and-a-half years of former head coach Daryl Powell, but new boss Lee Radford is determined to make his own mark on the playing squad – and has included a number of new signings in his squad numbers so far.

Jake Mamo, for example, takes the number 4 shirt with Bureta Faraimo taking the number 5 just outside him as established winger Derrell Olpherts retains the number 2 jersey.

And, of course Niall Evalds retains the fullback spot with hopes of an England spot at the end of the year at the rearranged World Cup.

Jordan Turner is another face in the backline, taking the number 3 shirt.
