For the second straight week Melbourne Storm veteran centre Will Chambers is set to start off the bench, as the Storm take on the Roosters in a Grand Final qualifier. This has lead many to believe that Chambers will be released early from his contract to seek pastures new.
The popular consensus is that Chambers will not end up at another NRL club as most clubs either have plenty of centres or simply cannot afford the ageing player.
Whilst Chambers has formerly played professional rugby union with the Queensland Reds and this seems like the likely avenue for Chambers, a move to the Super League is surely not off the cards.
If a Super League side shows enough interest in the premiership winning centre and can offer him a big enough deal, he could be persuaded to make the move over to England.
