Castleford, Huddersfield and Salford were all given massive fines by the RFL yesterday for breaching Operational Rules. But, just how did social media react to the news?
Some people questioned why Castleford were picked up on the COVID issue following the Challenge Cup Final, but St Helens weren’t.
Wondering what the fuck @CTRLFC players were doing getting closer than this lot at after a defeat at Wembley 😂
This is honestly unbelievable @TheRFL— Mattcasfan (@mattcasfan) August 24, 2021
Another Castleford fan couldn’t understand it.
They share a tiny changing room, showers and do wrestle practice with each other during the week. What possible difference does seating on a bus make. Utter bollox.

That sentiment was echoed by another Twitter user.

One Tigers fan asked how distancing on a coach was possible.
Yo @TheRFL how can you social distance on a coach? Would love an answer 😂

Some went even further to describe the current social problem.
This is embarrassing. Players are out in pubs after every game but the same players aren’t allowed to sit next to each other on a coach at work 😂 https://t.co/VHpbg7LcZs

One Tigers supporter pleaded with the club not to appeal the decision.
🚨 Don't appeal don't appeal 🚨

Another called into the question how players could actually socially distance on a coach.
How can you social distance on a coach? https://t.co/rBsfDEuJ42

Another Twitter user was confused as to why Huddersfield were punished.
So Huddersfield get fined for COVID protocol, for cancelling a game because they had too many injuries and not enough with COVID. How does that work. Player welfare but they have to play injured?

One Wakefield fan was confused as to why his side had not been awarded a 24-0 victory against Salford.
What I don't understand though is that everyone who should have played cas and hudds have been awarded 24-0 wins but wakey and Hull fc who should have played salford don't get 24-0 wins salford still broke protocols like cas and hudds which resulted in these games been called off

One Castleford fan did see the funny side of things.
So next away match some players will have to go in the cargo hold.
