“You’re a w**ker” – fans deliver barrage of abusive revenge to opposing coach

Ivan Cleary famously broke his contract at Wests at the end of 2018 to join Penrith, and the Tigers fans made their feelings quite clear as their side ended the Panthers’ 27 game-winning streak.

Chants of “Cleary’s a w**ker” and “you’re a w**ker” reverberated around Leichhardt Oval after last year’s meeting between the two sides ended with Cleary blowing a kiss to the less-than happy crowd.

The Tigers eventually ran away as 26-6 winners and the Penrith boss was asked about the hostile reception he received.

“I didn’t really notice,” Cleary responded with a wry smile to media.
