Workington re-sign popular forward

Workington Town have re-signed forward Fuifui Moimoi for the 2020 season.

The 40-year-old Tongan international has spent the last two years in Cumbria after leaving Toronto Wolfpack in 2018.

He had been with the Wolfpack since their inception in 2017, and scored 12 tries in 20 games in League One for Toronto. He has also played for Leigh Centurions and Paramatta Eels.

Moimoi told the club website: “The reason I have re-signed, is because I have really enjoyed my last two years with the club.”

“I’ve met lots of great people within the club and the fans are awesome.

“We have got some young talented players that I enjoy playing with and from what I’ve seen the other new signings are going to be just as talented. I can’t wait for the season to start.

“Hopefully Chris, his staff and the clubs hard work pays off this season and we achieve what we have all set out to do for the club.”
