Woolf preparing for Rhinos youngsters

St Helens Head Coach Kristian Woolf has said he will prepare to face Leeds’ youngsters like any other match on Friday.

Saints take on the Challenge Cup holders at the Totally Wicked Stadium. The Rhinos have made 10 changes to the side that was victorious against Salford.

Woolf admitted facing youngsters was harder to prepare for, but it is something he has gotten used to do doing this season.

He said: “Changes have been made to the side that you expect them to throw out. It can be harder to prepare for, but only for the fact that you do prepartion and expectation around players you know.

“Sometimes when you bring young blokes in it can take you by surprise a little bit. Their youthful enthusiasm can really work for them as well.

“The best example for that is the Leeds youngsters coming up against Warrington. They did a terrific job. For long periods, they really challenged Warrington, that is what we are expecting.

“It doesnt change our plan, it doesnt change what our goals are for this game and others going forward. We need to go out and make sure we are getting wins.

“We also need to make sure we keep improving, with the view hopefully, we are playing at the back end of the year.”
