Willie Peters reveals star man could be out for “a few weeks”

Mikey Lewis stole the show at Belle Vue last night with a brilliant brace of tries that shoes why he could be England’s future halfback.

Speaking after the game, his coach Willie Peters spoke about Lewis’ brilliance:

“We want Mikey to play with freedom and that’s what he did tonight, he played free.

“When Mikey runs the ball he’s dangerous and I thought he took the right options more often than not.

“He’s still going through his development so we can’t expect too much from him, he’s going to go through ups and downs in career. He’ll have games where you shake your head but then you’ll have games like that tonight, and he’ll build towards having some amazing games but we’ve got to remember how young he is.

From one star to another, Peters also gave an update on star winger Ryan Hall after he went off.

He confirmed that Hall suffered a knee injury and could miss the next few weeks as the Robins’ injury woes continue.

Peters said: “It’s his knee. He’s okay, I don’t think it’s major but I’m not a 100% sure. I’d say it’d be a few weeks out but I don’t know.”

Fortunately, Ethan Ryan is an option Hull KR can look to next week against Leeds Rhinos.
