Wigan Warriors celebrate winning the 2023 Grand Final

Wigan Warriors have revealed that their season ticket sales have now exceed the total number sold at the start of the 2023 Betfred Super League season, with eight weeks remaining until the start of the new campaign.

Wigan will open the new season in eight weeks time on Saturday 17th February away at Castleford before the World Club Challenge against Penrith Panthers on Saturday 24th February at 8:00pm at the DW Stadium, followed by the first home Super League game in ten weeks time against Huddersfield Giants on Friday 1st March.

Fans had snapped up over 7,000 season tickets as the deadline passed for supporters to retain their existing seats.

Wigan Warriors Chief Executive, Kris Radlinski said: “Achieving such a milestone ten weeks before the start of the season at home is truly wonderful. The Super League competition in 2023 was brilliant throughout, and capping it off with a Grand Final win made it particularly special for our club.

“It’s clear that this success has sparked excitement and anticipation for what lies ahead in 2024. A heartfelt thank you goes out to our loyal fans for their unwavering support. Wishing each and every one of you a joyous and healthy Christmas.”

Anyone who hasn’t yet secured their seat for the new season has until 5pm on Tuesday 2nd January 2024 to buy at the ‘Early Bird’ price.

Wigan have been demonstrating their involvement and positive impact on the community with Warriors Together.

Warriors Together aims to have an impact on all areas of the borough by working with schools and community groups in the most deprived and hard-to-reach areas of Wigan.

Taking place on Friday afternoons, Foundation staff and players are going out to deliver engaging sessions in person in high schools, primary schools and at Robin Park Arena. The delivery is also being extended to the Foundation’s community groups, such as Rugby Memories.

This week the Warriors were out and about in schools in Hindley and Hawkley, as well as assisting at The Brick with donations in preparation for the Christmas period.

The club are hoping to retain their Super League title for in the 2024 campaign.
