Wigan odds on to beat Cas

Just one game on Sky from Super League this week , all games are being played on Saturday and Sunday due to the sides all playing Easter Monday .

The bookies make Wigan clear favourites at around 4/9 , 1/2 is available if you shop around , as the injuries mount up for Daryl Powell’s Tigers . Cas will be without 9 first team regulars for the trip across the Pennines , the likes of Junior Moors and Michael Shenton will have to sit this one out . It comes just after the grueling Easter schedule , but this 3rd game in a week can be the hardest as bodies will still be recovering from 2 games in 3 days last week . Castleford also have to get over the short straw of the Easter Monday trip to Perpignan and when you weigh all this up you have to fancy a home win .

Both sides won one and lost one over Easter , but whilst the Warriors are slowly getting players back the injury list keeps getting worse for Cas . These 2 sides met last month at the Jungle , with the Tigers coming back from 20-0 to win it in the 2nd half but it is worth noting Wigan lost 3 players to injury during the 1st half and that must have had a bearing on the game as fatigue set in . With their absentee list it’s hard to fancy an away win at around 2/1 , especially when you add in Monday’s trip to Perpignan . Wigan have to concede a 6 point start on the handicap , both their home wins this year have been by more than that , and I think they can win this by around 11-15 points . It will be a tough battle and fatigue will be a factor by the end but they should have too much for a patched up Tigers side . 10/11 Wigan on the half time full time is probably better value than the handicap .

Joe Burgess has been scoring tries for fun lately and would be my pick at 9/1 for the 1st try , he’s 4/5 to score a try anytime .

Last time out the Tigers trailed at half time but came back to win in the 2nd half , a repeat of that is a best priced 12/1 .

Finally the man of the match , George Williams form has improved in the last few weeks and he would just be my pick ahead of Hardaker and the always impressive Oliver Gildart . As for the visitors , Liam Watts is always value but the returning Paul Mcshane makes Cas tick and will need to play well if they are to pull off a win , so it would be Williams and Mcshane for me .
